Collaboration with London's newly restored Whitechapel Gallery brings the British Council Collection to rare public display in the UK.

My Yard is the third in a series of five special exhibitions and sees artists Jeremy Deller and Alan Kane celebrate British people and places. Their selection includes works by L.S. Lowry, Ben Nicholson, John Davies and Edward Wadsworth.

Past exhibitions

The Third Dimension, the second exhibition from the Collection, closed in September following critical acclaim and enjoyment from thousands of visitors. The exhibition concentrated on sculpture, one of the most innovative and inventive art forms in Britain. The works were selected by Tim Marlow.

Passports: Great Early Buys was curated by artist Michael Craig-Martin and concentrated on the Collection’s great strengths – buying from artists at early stages in their careers and showing works of art internationally. The exhibition provided a ‘passport’ for each exhibit, detailing the acquisition price and global exhibition history, which proved a unique insight into the Collection’s international purpose.
