Fifth Curator competition

The 31st Cambridge Seminar on Contemporary Literature

The Cambridge Seminar has influenced discussion, performance and debate on literature for over 30 years. The programme includes well-known authors, as well as innovatory and new names.

Cultural Leadership International

CLI aims to develop a new generation of cultural leaders, creating a network across Europe, North America, the Middle East and North Africa who will utilise the skills and experience gained through the programme to drive the cultural sector forward.

Highlights

China-UK Connections Through Culture

This initiative offers information, support, and development grants to cultural organisations in China and the UK aiming to build relationships. The CtC website has now re-launched and includes up-to-date overviews of the UK and China arts scenes.

Soundpad

This project brought together British music producers, John Leckie and Dan Austin, with four new bands from India to help generate a dialogue between the UK and the emerging alternative music scene in India.

Incubator is bringing cutting-edge UK music to Latin America. Find out about recent activity including Mad Professor, The Kooks and BBC Radio 1 presenter Huw Stephens.

Advisor for Arts and Creative Economy

The British Council is pleased to announce that Graham Sheffield has been appointed as our Advisor for Arts and Creative Economy. Graham will work alongside the Director Arts and play an important role in developing and strengthening the national and international work of the British Council across the field of arts and the creative economy.
