Expenses
In order to comply with the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards new rules and with the Information Commissioner's requirements for broadening the information we proactively publish via our FOI Publication Scheme, we have made the decision to publish full details of all visits made by Parliamentarians which have been funded or part-funded by the British Council from the 1 July 2007.
As of the 1 September 2009, we will be publishing this information on a quarterly basis.
Please note that British Council Means and Class of Travel policy states that for air journeys, economy class should be used where the travelling time is under five hours and business class where the travelling time is five hours or more. The travelling time should be the total time spent travelling, including any stopovers on the way.
