A showcase of young talent and inspiration

On Wednesday 15 July HRH, the Prince of Wales met with young people from around the world who have benefited from the work of the British Council, at a celebration of its 75th anniversary.
His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales joined beneficiaries from British Council projects across the globe for a thank you celebration to highlight the endeavours and achievements of people we work with worldwide.
The 75th anniversary celebration on 15 July brought together over 100 young beneficiaries of British Council projects and programmes, who we hope will become the leaders of the future. His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales was impressed at how these young people are developing talents and skills to enable them to act on some of the most pressing global issues of our time.

His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales expressed his enjoyment at meeting eight schools and many of the young people who had undertaken projects and exchanges thanks to the British Council. He was treated to African dance and drumming performances, poetry from winners of Power in the Voice, demonstrations of Arabic calligraphy and a viewing of three science and art exhibitions on projects uniting countries to tackle climate change, share learning and understand other cultures. Winning young creative entrepreneurs were able to present His Royal Highness with their inspirational fashion and pioneering music-software businesses.
