People from all over the world learn English with the British Council.

In the Netherlands we support English language teachers with a wide range of (online) resources; we offer a variety of free online resources to help learners improve their English and we also deliver seminars for teachers and online training courses.

Early English - 12 February 2013 - Utrecht
The next seminar will be held on 12 February in Utrecht. The seminar will look at what materials are available for different age groups and levels for primary schools teachers. Primary Essentials - Online Teacher Training Course
In March we will start offering Primary Essentials; an English teachers development course for primary school teachers. The online course is meant for teachers in Dutch primary schools and will be moderated by a UK expert. This is a unique opportunity for teachers to engage with each other and to help teachers develop their English syllabus and lesson plans. On 12 February, participants and people interested in the course will have the opportunity to meet the moderator at the Primary English seminar. GREAT lesson plan and posters for the classroom
In January 2013 we will have a selection of 9 posters for the classroom. For each of the posters there is a video clip and a lesson plan that can be used in the classroom. The materials are available on the TeachingEnglish website. To order the posters, please download the order form. Please note that the posters will be sent out in the New Year.
