People from all over the world learn English with the British Council.

In the Netherlands we support English language teachers with a wide range of (online) resources; we offer a variety of free online resources to help learners improve their English and we also deliver seminars for teachers and online training courses.

Early English - 12 February 2013 - Utrecht
The day consisted of plenary sessions, practical workshops and speed-dating tables all aiming to show participants what (free online) materials and lessons plans are available to help schools and teachers with designing their English curriculum.

Primary Essentials - Online Teacher Training Course
In March 2013 we will start offering Primary Essentials; an English teachers development course for primary school teachers. The online course is meant for teachers in Dutch primary schools and will be moderated by a UK expert. This is a unique opportunity for teachers to engage with each other and to help teachers develop their English syllabus and lesson plans. On 12 February, participants and people interested in the course will have the opportunity to meet the moderator at the Primary English seminar. GREAT lesson plans and posters for the classroom
