Partnership Programme in Science
UK & Communauté Française de Belgique Wallonie Bruxelles

As from September 2008, the British Council and WBI/FNRS jointly run and finance the Partnership Programme in Science, United Kingdom (UK) & Communauté Française de Belgique Wallonie Bruxelles (CFB-WB). The aim of this Partnership Programme in Science (PPS) is to enable early-stage and talented postdoctoral researchers from higher education institutions in the two countries to meet, exchange ideas and engage in scientific and academic research collaboration.

Programme
This competitive programme provides a grant-in-aid towards the cost of international travel and accommodation for collaborative research visits and workshops/seminars.

Assessment of proposals
Assessment will be undertaken by a Selection Board comprising representatives of the British Council, CGRI-DRI and the FNRS on 24 October 2008. During the last round of the Partnership Programme in Science UK & Netherlands, 12 applicants were awarded a grant-in-aid for either a research visit or workshop seminar.

Electronic applications
Deadline for applications was 22 September 2008 for visits or workshops/seminars to take place between 13 October 2008 and 31 March 2009.
