Debate of a personal dilemma: Students are asked to debate the issues surrounding genetic testing of foetuses, using role play and supporting texts. English version only.

DNA interactive Dolan DNA learning centre (Cold Spring Harbour Laboratory). Well organised site with resources for teachers and student worksheets. A particularly suitable activity is the DNA controversy topic, where students must pick a controversial statement, research it using the internet and present a number of scientific arguments for and against. Alternatively the ‘Genome, a tour and genetic disorder brochure’, where students are again required to research a particular genetic disorder and produce a brochure dealing with different aspects of that disorder.
