Participants, teachers and partners have been inspired by Next Generation Science to develop events of their own:

- Junior Science Cafe
A unique forum for the discussion of topical and thought provoking scientific issues in schools. Piloted during NGS Rotterdam, this format has been taken on by several schools.

- Alternative Careers Guide
Students present their vision on what a career in science might be like.

- Online photo competition
Prizes were awarded in the categories 'Climate Change' and Genectics&Identity'

- Student Summit
The Natural History Museum London organises this event and Dutch students from NGS schools are selected to attend.
