Dreams + Teams – Round 1
April-June 2005

On 23 June 2005, a week of hard work for 32 young people from four UK and four NL schools resulted in a large sports festival in the blistering heat in Apeldoorn. This was the first ever Dreams + Teams training in the world that was attended by an international group, and it was a great success.

The agenda not only featured acquiring leadership skills through sports, but also the exchange of ideas, learning about other cultures and languages, and setting up international friendships. Even though it was a very tiring week, the reward came with the success of the festival on 23 June. When the earlier invited 150 school primary school children arrived, everyone felt the pressure but also the fun of it. Read more about the training.

"I thoroughly enjoyed myself and feel this experience can help me in the future. The atmosphere on whole was brilliant and the festival was a great success. Free time available was a lot of fun with many happy times to remember. Dank je wel! Thanks!"
