Career Opportunities with British Council Nepal
We are looking for a dynamic, suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our Nepal Operation as Schools Project Manager (fixed term post, possibilities of extension). Post would suit a middle level manager or a Masters graduate looking to move to a higher level in their career.
Schools Project Manager Responsibilities
To manage the DFID funded Schools project as part of our GPF programme, ensuring that it is delivered to the required standards and contributes to the Council’s overall strategy and objectives in Nepal.
Basic Skills, Knowledge and Experience required for the post are:
•Takes lead responsibility for the implementation of the Connecting Classrooms schools project to ensure delivery of project outputs and targets and manages change. Key components of this are managing relationships with educational institutions (local and UK), and key personnel within the Ministry of education, and management of the annual operational budget.
•Targets for funded partnerships and new partnerships must be met
•The International Schools Award and International Leadership Award must be well managed.
•Significant experience of project and relationship management required.
•Experience of training and line management preferred..
•The ability to communicate clearly, either verbally or in writing with colleagues globally (in English), or locally (in Nepali).
Remuneration scale: NPR 63,000 to 81,000/month
