TeachingEnglish RADIO (TER).

What is TeachingEnglish Radio(TER)?

TER is an introduction to teacher development and is a series of 12 episodes aimed at teachers of English working in schools with large classes , lack of resources and few training opportunities.

Who is it for?

This series has been produced by British Council and it provides advice and training on teaching English at basic level. These programmes are intended for teachers of English who may have low level qualifications and lack confidence in their knowledge of English.

What is the main objective of TER?

The objective of this programme is to address some key issues in classroom practice by exploring and sharing well tried strategies to improve the teaching and learning of English. The focus is on environments where textbooks and materials are in short supply and less or no access to internet or computer.

The episodes are intended to motivate teachers and provide a "catalyst" to improve morale and encourage learner centred strategies and make learning more effective.

The series is broadcasted every Friday in Radio Nepal at 9:30 PM and 50 other Radio/FM stations all over Nepal. Please click here for the schedule of the broadcast.
