Global Changemakers,a project initiated by the British council in 2007 brings together young community activists from around the world in a sustainable global network. The participants are emerging talents between the ages of 16 - 25, working in disciplines from social enterpreneurship to environmental activism and are commited to bringing about positive social change in their communities.
Nimesh Ghimire, Akanchha Karki and Sabrina Singh were selected from Nepal as global changemakers and participated at the Guildford forum from 18-23 January 2009 at Guildford. As per Akanchha "It is a great opportunity that Nimes,Sabrina and I got to attend Guilford. sharing with a larger group of enabled us to be more confident about our Community Action Projects (CAPs) and other projects."

They were here at British Council on 24th April 2009 to share their experiences with 22 students from different schools of Kathmandu. This interaction session, during the first half highlighted on their experience about participating in the Guildford forum. The second half of the programme highlighted on the action points for these students, as it focussed on the Community Action Projects which each one of the participating student, who wishes to work on.
A group task was done during this programmes where the students were given a situation and had to come out with their solutions, this was to prepare the students to contribute to the positive social change and strengthen the civil society.
At the end of the programme many students volunteered to join hands with our global changemakers to work on the community action projects.
