Ingroj Shrestha, World topper of Mathematics , June 2010 , shares his success with British Council.

This is the second time , Ingroj was successful to top the world. He was also World topper of Mathematics, November 2009.

Please tell us about your background, in terms of your school education.

I started my schooling in hometown Tanahun where I read till grade 4. Later I joined Pushpa Kunja High School where I studied upto Grade 10.

Why did you choose to do A Levels?

I wish to join an educational system that allowed for in-depth understanding of my course content. The freedom of subject choice and challenging syllabuses also appealed to me.

Any challenges you faced while you were studying or preparing for the Exams?

Thanks to my parents and teachers, I did not face much problem in my A-Level years. I had a small setback during my exams due to typhoid.

Where and what would you like to study?

Mathematics and computer programming are my interest I will be taking my guidance from my teachers and parents in finding the best place for my further studies.

What is your ultimate ambition?

My ultimate ambition is to serve a society with computer technologies that reaches out to underprivileged people too.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years time?

In 20 years time, I wish to be able to serve the society through technology in the best possible ways.
