This new 32-hour courses are for business professionals and administrators who need to communicate effectively, in both speaking and writing.

There are two levels in this course

  • Business Communication English One
  • Business Communication English Two

Both of these courses are equally suitable for those in work or preparing for a career in business.  It uses a wide range of multimedia and is highly interactive enabling you to put what you learn into practise.

Package includes a course book, free membership of the Achiever's club.

The Business Communication 0ne course covers

Person to Person

•meeting people for the first time

•discussing work routines

•offering to help, asking for permission and making requests

•dealing with communication problems

Phone Calls

•making a good impression when answering the phone

•taking notes and long messages

•dealing with problems on the phone

Writing

•layout for international business letters, emails and faxes

•a range of phrases for letters, emails and faxes

Exchanging Information

•asking and answering questions politely

•finding  out about details, specifications, numbers and prices

•arranging appointments and meetings

•dealing with cultural differences and misunderstandings

Business communication skills Two covers

Meetings

•practise participating in  a range of meetings

•discuss ideas and exchange opinions

•practise working with an agenda

•Identify and practise the role of the chairperson

•Consider different styles of negotiating and practise negotiating in a range of situations

Entertaining Visitors

•be better able to receive visitors and build professional relationships

•develop your English for socialising and making small talk  

•make travel arrangements for yourself and others•

Explaining and Presenting

•explain and present the history of your company

•explain and show people how to do things

•describe procedures and processes

•practise using sales talk in relation to marketing

•discuss product development

•prepare and give a presentation
