Scholarships and funding

Studying in the UK might cost less than you think, especially when you think of the real value a UK qualification provides. The value is in what you can also get from living and studying in the UK – better English, work experience, developing skills in how to think – not what to think – and making new friends and contacts. There are numerous scholarships available and lots of information to help you take the first steps to an internationally-recognised qualification.

Chevening Scholarships

The Chevening Scholarships programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, is the UK’s most prestigious scholarship’s scheme. The programme world-wide currently provides around 2300 new scholarships every year  for postgraduate studies or research at UK institutions of Higher Education. Find out more.
 

Glasgow Centre for International Development (GCID) Scholarship

This scheme is aimed at high-achieving candidates from Nepal and a small number of eligible countries in Africa and Asia who wish to pursue a PhD at the University of Glasgow starting in October 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter. Find out more.
