Honourable Education Minister Mr Dina Nath Sharma inaugurated Education UK exhibition 2012 at the presence of Dr Robert Monro, British Council Country Director, Mr Guy Harrison, Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy , Dr Uma Sribastav, President of British Alumni Association of Nepal and representatives from UK universities.

Minister Sharma said “ This is a great opportunity for Nepalese students to receive the first hand information from the Universities representatives themselves. On the behalf of ministry of education and department of education, I would like to thank British Council and British Embassy for organising this event. Nepal and UK have long cultural and historical relation and UK is helping Nepalese people by offering   world class education.

I wish that Nepalese students who go to UK for their education will definitely support the Nepal’s development need and come back to Nepal to serve the country after returning back to the country.”

Dr Robert Monro insured that all participating institutions are recognised by UK Government and they offer extremely wide range of courses.

We held the Exhibition on 10  and 11 February 2012 from 1100 to 1730 hours at DECC(Direction Exhibition and Convention Centre) United World Trade Centre, Tripureshwor Kathmandu

With a view to promoting UK education and increasing the understanding of the UK's expertise in education, the two-day event is organised in an exclusive way where  students and parents have an opportunity to meet the representatives from 32 different UK institutions. Therewill also be series of seminars and presentations by the representatives from British Council, British High Commission in Delhi and UK institutions.

The event was the biggest opportunity for face to face discussions and interaction among the alumni, students, aspirants, parents, career advisers, agents, representatives and people from all walks of life looking to broaden their educational horizons in a modern and professional way. One of the most popular education destinations these days is the UK. The British education, famous for its breadth and academic excellence offers outstanding education to students from all over the world. Independent thinking and student centred learning are the hallmarks of the British degree courses. British higher education offers shorter and more intensive courses than are available in many other countries. Moreover, there is a commonly held belief that, UK qualifications add value, give a competitive edge and increase employment prospects.

Studying abroad is becoming more and more popular with a variety of career opportunities available for aspirants and students. In many cases students are in a dilemma with regard to choosing the right career with the right aptitude. Taking this into consideration, this exhibition was focused on complete guidance about the career opportunities that are available and enabling the students to make the right career/education choice.
