How is the test marked?
Band scores are recorded on a Test Report Form, showing overall ability as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking from one to nine (Absolute beginner through to expert user with fully operational command of the language, appropriate, accurate and fluent with complete understanding).

The institutions to which you are applying will normally stipulate which band they require.

How to get the results?
The results are available two weeks after the test date.

You may collect your own copy of the results or we can send it to you by post. Results will not be given by telephone.

The official copy will go to the educational institution of your choice. If you want to try to improve your result, you can take the test again three months after the original test.

WHAT ABOUT THE PRICE AND HOW TO PAY?

IELTS tests cost Dh 1600.

We recommend you to apply at least 4 weeks in advance to ensure you have the date of your choice.

You may send a cheque in Dirham made payable to British Council or by bank transfer if you don’t have a cheque book.

Please contact us by e-mail if you need the bank details for a bank transfer.
