GENERAL ENGLISH COURSES for Adults
Learn English, whatever level you are at

General English courses focuses on real life communication. You will

develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
develop thorough understanding of grammar.

New students can be tested into the beginning middle or final term of a level.  This ensures:

that the class you go into is the best possible level for you
and that you progress through the levels more quickly.

Levels

We divide our students into levels from Beginners to Proficiency. Each level is taught across three terms that cover one year.

This table shows the relationship between our British Council, Rabat levels system, the Common European Framework levels system with descriptors for each level, and how these relate to the various Cambridge external exams.

What is the Common European Framework? (CEF)

The Common European Framework is

a tool developed by the Council of Europe, for setting clear, attainable standards at different levels of language learning;
a tool that allows for standards to be easily comparable at an international level;
a global levels system with clear guidelines about what a learner can do for each level;
a portfolio with learner biography, dossier of work and language passport.
