This course focuses on English for the workplace. The Business English modules develop the skills and extend the vocabulary and grammar you will need to help you communicate in the modern business world.

Our business skills courses will help you improve your :

listening, through real interviews with business people
speaking, through role plays and discussions, writing e-mail, memos and summaries
reading real texts from the business press.

Pre Intermediate Business

business situations: talking about your company, dealing with problems, visiting a company, describing and comparing
grammar: information questions, past simple, modal verbs prepositions
vocabulary: figures, prices, telephone language, financial vocabulary, language for socialising

Intermediate Business

business situations: management styles, making appointments, discussing probability, mini presentations
grammar: telephone language, expressing future intentions, language for checking and summarising
vocabulary: guessing meaning from context, verbs followed by gerunds and infinitives, verb noun–collocations

Upper Intermediate Business

business situations: taking part in formal and informal meetings, dealing with problems, marketing
grammar: relative clauses, tenses review, reported speech, conditionals
vocabulary: processes and operations, vocabulary for business correspondence, language for selling and buying products
