IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It is the world’s number one English language test for English learners of all levels, taken by over 1 million people every year across the world.
Taking an IELTS qualification will help to open doors to international education and employment all over the globe. People take IELTS tests if they want to emigrate/study in an English speaking country or just want to know their level for career purposes. IELTS tests are guaranteed to show your true ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking, in a way that is relevant to the real world.
Our 40-hour IELTS preparation course ( PDF22 KB) is an ideal way to prepare for this challenging examination. Both the Academic and General Modules are covered in this course, with a focus on each one.
The course aims to help you:

- become familiar with the format and content of the exam
- practice extensively all four sections of the test.
- develop exam strategies to maximise your potential
- identify your strengths and areas for development

We use a wide variety of up-to-date teaching resources including modern course books, authentic exam practice materials and computer-based activities.
NB minimum entry level for this course is CEF Level B2 (Upper-Intermediate)
This one day workshop ( PDF22 KB) aims to increase your chances of maximising your IELTS test score whether for immigration, employment or educational purposes. Sessions are designed for people taking the test for the first time and take place usually the week before IELTS exams. By the end of the 6-hour workshop you will:
- know what to expect when you take the test
- have practised different parts of the Academic and General tests
- have strategies to maximise your score
- feel more confident before the test and know about IELTS support websites
The workshop begins with an introduction and General IELTS overview then focuses on the four parts of the IELTS test: Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking.
This is an intensive workshop that will include the opportunity for you to try some authentic exam questions and watch a demonstration speaking test. You will also be able to obtain advice from our experienced and professional teachers.
