Four European Institutes participating in this event under the banner of EUNIC (EU National Institutes for Culture): Goethe-Institut (Germany), British Council (United Kingdom), Instituto Camões (Portugal) and Istituto Italiano di Cultura (Italy) together in the same location. The four institutions have worked together on a program that will be full of a multitude of activities. These include :
- Mini-language classes in German, English, Italian and Portuguese for all ages from 10am each day at noon
- Illustrations workshops organized by the Goethe-Institut, Instituto Camões and Istituto Italiano di Cultura
- Various sessions of book readings, discussions and presentations will take place in the afternoons
- The public will also have the opportunity to browse the latest publications of the European literary scene as well as books in English, Italian, Portuguese and German
Three network of national cultural institutes of the European Union (known by its English acronym EUNIC, European Union National Institutes for Culture) is a network of cultural institutes and is dedicated to promoting European cultural diversity. The goal is to create effective partnerships between the participating organizations, to improve and promote cultural and linguistic diversity and understanding between European societies and to strengthen dialogue and cooperation with countries outside Europe.

Friday 10 February : British Council: Language workshop Introductory course to the English language : British Council: Discussions/ presentations Presentation of the book Plays From the Arab World: Reading and discussion by Jaouad Essounani and Kamal Khalladi.
In 2007, the international Department of the Royal Court Theatre and the British Council have launched an ambitious project, in collaboration with twenty one writers in the Near East and North Africa. From the plays born from this project (in Arabic), seven were chosen for repeated readings and were played on stage at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 2008. Presented by Laila Hourani from the British Council, this volume gathers unique voices, each asking different but equally important questions.

Saturday 11 February : Istituto Italiano di Cultura: Language workshop Introductory course to the Italian language : Goethe Institut: Discussions/ presentations Presentation of the book: "Der Mensch: Zeuge Gottes: Entwurf einer islamischen Anthropologie" by Markus Kneer.
Biography of Markus Kneer: Born in 1972, Markus Kneer is a catholic priest who was delegated for the muslim-christian dialogue in the Diocese of Paderborn, Germany. After obtaining his Masters degree in Biblical Theology, he pursued his studies in Islamology and Philosophy at the Münster University in Germany. In 2002, he submitted a PHD thesis on « The grey zone of thought: Rationality and anti-Judaism » at the Theology College of Paderborn. Since about ten years, he has been working on the philosophy of Mohamed Aziz Lahbabi and has already published articles in German and French on the "Lahbabian" philosophy.

Monday 13 February : Goethe Institut: Languages workshop Introductory course to the German language : Istituto Italiano di Cultura: Discussions/ presentations "FUMETTI" meets Manuele Fior and Roberto Dal Prà The artist and author of cartoons Manuele Fior presents his works and drawings. He is an Italian author and cartoonist from Cesena, who received the "Fauve d’or" prize at the Angoulême festival in 2011 for his "Five thousand kilometres per second", Coconino, 2011. The comics’ scriptwriter BD Roberto Del Prà, director of "I COMICS" Italy, presents the stages of creating a comics periodical and gives an overview of the illustration activity in Italy. On this occasion, Roberto Dal Prà meets young Moroccan cartoonists interested in the Italian editions network.

On the occasion of the donation granted recently by Marilena Ferrari foundation to the Mediatheque "E. De Amicis" of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Ileana Marchesani, the Editions Senso Unico, presents the elements owing to which Franco Maria Ricci books became unique pieces and indispensable art works.
Saturday 18 February : Instituto Camoes: Discussions/ presentations Illustration workshop for kids, with Mrs. RACHEL CAIANO : Instituto Camoes: Autographs By GONÇALO M. TAVARES, with the presence of his Arabic translator Mr. SAID BENABDLOUAHED and the editor Mr. HOZAL Biographical note of GONÇALO M. TAVARES (Luanda, August 1970) Poet, writer, and university teacher, he published his first book in 2001.
He received important Portuguese literature prizes: Portugal Telecom prize 2007, José Saramago prize 2005 and LER/Millennium BCP prize 2004 for the novel « Jerusalem »; he obtained the prize Branquinho da Fonseca of the Calouste Gulbenkian foundation and the weekly magazine Expresso for his book « Senhor Valéry »; Poetry revelation prize of the Portuguese association of writers, and the Grand prize for his tale « Camilo Castelo Branco ». He has also just been granted the prize of the Inês de Castro foundation. These books have inspired theatre plays, art works, videos, operas, and have been translated into many languages. His book « Jerusalem » is included in the European edition of « 1001 books to read before dying».

Zineb Belmqaddem (Morocco), member of the 20 février Movement. Debates will be conducted by Souleiman Bencheikh (Morocco), editor in chief of the magazine Zamane.
At the dawn of the Arab spring, freedom, in all its forms, has become a challenge and a big question mark in the Arab societies. What is this liberty that we are so keen to gain? What are its conditions? What path shall we take to achieve it? Is it rebellion or reform? Or shall we take both paths? A round table will be organized in the form of a meeting-dialogue between western thinkers and Maghrebian activists. A EUNIC event, presented by the Wallonia-Brussels delegation, the meetings held under the sign of Averroes are in collaboration with the Institut Français in Morocco.
