Youth in Action
What is it about?
Do you have an idea for a project to help your community? Do you want to get guidance or funding to develop it further?
Come up with an idea of your own, get others involved, apply for funding and make your project happen!
Get involved in Youth in Action to meet new people around Europe to develop cultural awareness and learn lots of new skills to help increase the chances of finding a job.
In the past, projects have focused on art, health and sport, environment and disability. What will yours be about?
Where can I go?
You can decide where to run your project. It could take place in your neighbourhood, with others across the UK or maybe with another group of like-minded young people in another European country.
What does it cost?
You can apply for funding to develop your project.
Am I eligible?
You will need to:
- be under 30 years old
- live in the UK
- put together a group of four or more people aged 18-30 to work on the project with you. (You can include people who are 15 or over, as long as you have a youth worker coach who can help you throughout the project.)
What is the duration of the project?
We can provide funding for projects with a duration of three to 18 months.
What’s the deadline?
You can apply at any time of the year.
What about afterwards?
Not only will you walk away from your project with new friends and experiences, you will also qualify for a ‘Youthpass’ certificate recording what you have achieved.
