Better schools - better future

This is an important project of British Council across four countries in South East Europe designed and delivered in parntership with Microsoft – Partners in Learning in Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. The project aims at enhancing the UK’s reputation and worldwide Microsoft Partners in Learning program  as a source of expertise and partner for skills development to transform the education by:

inspiring, identifying, sharing and scaling practices and behaviors that improve learning outcomes
seting an agenda by creating a regional debate through the competition on the qualitative development of the future  schools
contributing to institution change by feeding up to the policy making level the project findings and creating a regional platform to share experience

British Council and Microsoft Partners in Learning will work with 40 school in the region and education decision makers to come up with innovative proposals to two big challenges of the current education systems: School Management and Student Centred Learning by using innovative technologies and approaches.

What’s in it for me?
The education policy makers will be given the opportunity, through joined efforts in this project, to push forward the reform’ agenda of improvements in education as the country comes closer to EU accession.

School principles and school management are given the opportunity to engage their school in a regional debate on the future of the school as well potentially join a global network of Microsoft Innovative School programme.

If you are a teacher, you will benefit from professional development in areas such as project management, presentation skills, debating and negotiation skills. Moreover you can join a global community of Innovative Teachers and have the opportunity to diversify teaching practices in your classroom by introducing technology, innovation and creativity.

Students engaged in this project will benefit by engaging in an innovative school project, compete nationally and internationally, link up with peers in the region and the UK by becoming part of the global network of Innovative Students and get the rare opportunity to influence the policy makers by presenting their ideas in an international conference.?
