OBJECTIVES

The TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) is a new certification in English language teaching awarded by Cambridge ESOL, which tests professional knowledge about the teaching of English to speakers of other languages.

COURSE CONTENTS

We offer an 80-hour course, during which candidates review concepts related to language teaching and learning, they work on language development and on the development of exam techniques. The TKT can be taken on different dates throughout the year. It consists of three free-standing modules:

- Module 1: Language and background to language learning and teaching

- Module 2: Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching

- Module 3: Managing the teaching and learning process

REQUIREMENTS

- Pass a British Council PET level (Cambridge ESOL) language examination

- Be at least 18 years old

- Pay the examination fee established by Cambridge ESOL
