We help you to understand the CLIL methodology so you can use the best teaching practices in the classroom. You can develop your practical skills to introduce functional language, evaluate the challenges that students face and adapt work and tools for evaluating. You will assist in preparation sessions, submit two written pieces, participate in observations of teachers at the British Council and write a reflective journal on your teaching. Course duration: 16 weeks Requirements: Minimum level of B1(Intermediate 2) to enter the course. Present your placement exam to register. Includes: -All necessary materials for the course -Preparation sessions for all custom-designed units and sessions to respond to the specific needs of course participants -Feedback and support from an experienced assessor -Opportunity to observe classes at the British Council -Micro teaching practice -Invitation to ´How to´ workshops for teachers once a month -Subscription to the monthly bulletin Talking English -Reflective teaching journal -Conversation Club -Access to the British English Teaching English website What will we cover during the course? The topics for the workshops are based on the University of Cambridge TKT CLIL examination, but it is far more than a preparation course and registration for the examination is optional. We provide practical methods to help you as content teachers meet their objectives and effectively support your learners in an additional language. We also help you as English language teachers to become more specialised in bilingual education or to teach other subjects. Participants in our pilots described the course as ‘a life-saver ‘and said that they have started to enjoy teaching again.
