IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.
The main focus of the IELTS preparation course is to learn the skills and techniques necessary for the IELTS test so that you can maximise your performance on the day of the exam. You will develop your abilities in speaking, listening, reading and writing as required, and consolidate and expand the grammar and vocabulary base that you have, working on specific areas of language that are relevant for the exam and for study purposes in an English-speaking country.
During the sessions on the course you will look closely at the different parts of the exam, and familiarise yourself with the different types of questions that may appear, as well as with the timing of each part. Your teacher will guide you through the different areas, giving you tips and feedback on your performance.
