Dear reader,
I am very pleased to have taken over from Chris Rawlings, the role of British Council, Country Director, Mexico.
I have worked for the British Council in different parts of the world for over many years. My most recent post involved leading our operations in Kazakhstan.
I am very excited about coming to Mexico: a country with a rich and important historic and cultural heritage, a promising future, a significant young population and opportunities for economic, social and cultural growth.
The British Council has been active in Mexico for almost 70 years, focusing on cultural relations programmes that contribute to long term relationships between our two countries. I am certain that our work in English, Exams, Education, and the Arts have, over this time, helped build understanding between our countries. I look forward to working with the British Council team in Mexico to take our co-operation further.
I look forward to meeting our partners and friends in the years to come.
With warm regards,
Lena
