From Sunday 9 December the British Council in Dubai will be temporarily located in a designated block of Dubai English Speaking College at Academic City. All English classes, project work and customer services will run from the Academic City site, and examinations will continue as scheduled.

Customers and the public will be kept fully informed and any inconvenience kept to a minimum. We are likely to be at the Academic City site for up to one year.

The redevelopment of our current site in Dubai, close to Maktoum Bridge, will deliver a more modern, purpose-built environment for work, learning and cultural relations.

New premises will be built to meet the evolving needs and aspirations of the community, with first-class facilities appropriate for Dubai. Energy-efficient measures have also been integrated into the design.  

This redevelopment project is an integral part of our strategy to expand and strengthen our work with partners in Dubai and the region and promote greater mutual understanding, create educational opportunities and enhance cultural relations between the UK and the Emirate.

Arrangements for Young Learners and Adult students are as follows:

Young learners

			the last class at the current Maktoum Bridge site will be Saturday 8 December.
			classes will continue on Saturday 15 December at Academic City

Adult Learners

			the current term finishes on Thursday 29 November
			registration will take place at the Maktoum Bridge site for the next term as follows:

The new term will begin on Sunday 9 December at Academic City.

Examinations

All examinations will continue as scheduled

Customer Service

			the Maktoum Bridge site will close to public enquiries at 6pm on Saturday 8 December
			we will re-open to public enquiries at Academic City on Sunday 9 December

Opening hours at Academic City will be:
Sundays – Thursdays 4:30-9:30pm
Saturdays - 8:00 am - 6:00pm.
