IELTS is taking the world by storm as the premium and preferred language test for university entry, immigration and employment.

The USA, long considered to be solid TOFEL territory, is welcoming IELTS with open arms. Only this year, 121 new educational institutions and 12 new professional organisations have started recognising IELTS, bringing the total number of institutions recognising IELTS in the USA to a staggering 1056. In addition, IELTS is the English language test of chioce in many other countries around the world, including the UK, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and more.

IELTS is a language test developed by the British Council in collaboration with Cambridge ESOL Examinations and IDP, Australia. It is highly reliable as a result of extensive Examiner training and standardisation, and involves a face-to-face interview, which is the best way to evaluate a candidate's speaking level. IELTS is available throughout Saudi Arabia through the British Council's Examinations Departments in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Province.
