Better English for Young Learners

English Language and communication skills are becoming increasingly important in daily life. With over 75 years of experience, the British Council is a world leader in English language teaching and teacher development.

Help your child get a head start with the distinct advantage of being able to communicate effectively in English. Our English for young learners courses:

are taught by friendly, internationally qualified and experienced teachers who are dedicated to ensuring students are motivated and sufficiently challenged to reach their full learning potential
aim to be fun, interesting, communicative and challenging
develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, with a focus on helping your child communicate clearly and confidently in English
provide a string grammar and vocabulary foundation
aim to develop your child’s English using the latest teaching and learning methods and materials, including games and communicative activities as well as visual and audio material through up-to-date language learning software
have a maximum of 16 students in a class
provide a friendly, safe environment with constant supervision.

We strongly believe in a communicative, active approach - this encourages all students, even beginners, to take part in all lessons. The courses build on each other, and this is especially convenient, as it allows you to start at the level suited to your ability and work your way up.
