Exam preparation
Helping you get the best possible marks

The exams preparation courses are designed to train you on test techniques and give you the opportunity to practise for the test. This will help you achieve the best possible results.

IELTS preparation courses
You may need IELTS for immigration or further study abroad. The high standard required by this internationally recognised qualification means that the exam is demanding but your achievement in gaining a good grade will be widely and highly respected. Our preparation courses help you achieve the best mark possible.

These courses are exam preparation courses not language courses and, therefore, do not concentrate on raising the level of candidates' English.  Experience shows that candidates who are prepared for the format of this examination and are equipped with the necessary skills and strategies do better than those who go in unprepared.

The lessons involve practising parts of past exam papers. They work on all four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing); delivered as an integrated whole along with extensive vocabulary and grammar support. This means you will learn in a natural way, as well as learning techniques that help you perform well in exams. There are two different types of IELTS preparation courses: two week courses and four week courses.

The two week course covers amongst other things:

skills and sub-skills needed for efficient reading, listening and writing
strategies for maximising potential in all four modules (speaking, reading, listening and writing)
feedback from experienced teachers of IELTS (please note that IELTS band scores cannot be given)
the formalities required for filling out the IELTS answer sheets

In addition to the above, the four-week course will allow participants more extensive practice in exam skills, time to reflect on feedback given throughout the course, and more time to focus on developing their grammar and vocabulary.

Cambridge ESOL exams preparation courses
Our teaching centres can help you prepare for the University of Cambridge English Language Exams certificates, including the First Certificate (FCE), Cambridge Advanced Examination (CAE), and Cambridge Proficiency Examination (CPE).

If you want to follow any of these courses, you will need to take our placement test and demonstrate the minimum level of English language competency required to enter a preparation course.

We can also prepare students for IGCSE, Cambridge University General English, Business English and Young Learners qualifications. These are globally-recognised UK qualifications that can open doors to the world of employment, as well as form the basis for further study.
