What is the ELT Network?
The ELT Network provides opportunities for English language teaching professionals for whom English is an additional language to network and exchange teaching ideas and experience and provides input on innovative teaching approaches and techniques.  The ELT Network is a free service for practising English language teachers and teacher trainers in the Middle East region.

The ELT Network is designed to support your continuing professional development and to encourage networking between English language teachers throughout the Middle East region.   

What can I expect if I become a member?

monthly workshop(s) delivered either by guest speakers or British Council trainers.  Each workshop includes a practical section for you to experiment with techniques and approaches.  Certificates of attendance will be provided
monthly lesson plans, for both primary and secondary school classes, on the theme of the month and articles about teaching and learning
monthly e-newsletter with news of what's going on in the world of ELT in the region
reviews of useful websites and other resources
interviews with teachers and others involved in education in the Middle East region and elsewhere
a membership card which allows you to sign up for our monthly workshops, gives you access to the British Council's Multi-Media Study Centre and Resource Library as well as giving you priority invitation to ELT events
access to our website which has a new theme each month

Who can join?
The ELT Network is for English teachers/teacher trainers that work for the Ministry of Education and/or in the Independent School system.
