British Council Malta
SHORT STORY COMPETITION
MEMORY AND FORGETTING

On the occasion of its 75th anniversary in Malta, the British Council teamed up with the Department of English at the University of Malta to organise a short story competition on the theme of ‘Memory and Forgetting’.

The competition was open to all current University of Malta students and  aimed to recognise, promote and reward the increasing interest in English-language creative writing in Malta. It also aimed to provide support in making young people more aware of publication opportunities for short fiction in English, both locally and abroad.

The judging panel for the competition was made up of members who are or have been involved in the teaching, writing, publishing, judging or editing of contemporary fiction, and included in its ranks a distinguished writer and teacher of fiction - Patricia Duncker
