INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR TEACHERS
18 FEBRUARY - 22 FEBRUARY 2013

INTRODUCTION
After a successful 3-year programme – British Council Connecting Classrooms in East Asia has helped establish strong networks between Ministries of Education, Regional & Local Authorities and schools in East Asian nations and the United Kingdom.

Successful International exchanges have taken place between teachers and students with UK partner schools visiting their counterparts in East Asia through professional development programmes.

Educational exchanges have also been initiated with teachers from East Asia visiting their UK counterparts and these visits have become very popular.  As part of its support for the development of even stronger international school links and enhanced professional development for teachers, the British Council East Asia has developed a programme to formalise these visits to include more focused professional development opportunities.
