British Council Malaysia
Excellence in TNE Partnerships for the Future
Date: 15 – 16 November 2011, Kuala Lumpur
Venue: Australian High Commission, Kuala Lumpur

First Notice
In order to support and inform decision making and practice in the area of Transnational Education, British Council, Australian Education International and Education Malaysia would like to invite you to “Excellence in TNE : Partnerships for the future”.

This symposium and policy dialogue will bring together decision makers, planners, practitioners and academics from Ministries, Institutions and the private sector. Delegates will have opportunities to share information and highlight examples of excellence in transnational education partnerships and explore the future evolution of transnational education in the region and beyond.

Theme
Transnational education has moved over the last few years from a peripheral activity to a core part of the education landscape. It has become a key part of both institutional and governmental strategies to improve education systems, attract globally mobile students and foster partnerships between nations. However, there has been little study of the benefits of transnational education nor the chance to highlight examples of excellence in the field.
