Studying abroad
To study for a qualification delivered in English, you are required to demonstrate your proficiency in the language. IELTS is an English language test which is recognised by many institutions around the world. Most universities require you achieve a certain IELTS result in order for your application to be considered.Apart from the UK, IELTS is recognised by institutions in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, amongst others. It is also widely accepted in the USA along with the TOEFL.
Immigration
IELTS can also be used for immigration purposes for people who wish to work or study in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
