What is IELTS?
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It is an English language test which

  • tests all 4 language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking)
  • tests international English (no UK or US bias)
  • has wide global recognition
  • delivers results in 13 days

WHY TAKE AN IELTS EXAM?

Universities
IELTS is recognised by many universities both abroad and in France.  It is currently used by French students and institutions for

  • Entry to a university undergraduate or postgraduate degree course taught in English (abroad or in France)
  • Study placements with universities abroad
  • Exit test from a university level course

NB: IELTS is now widely accepted in the USA along with the TOEFL tests, please consult the recognition list

Immigration

IELTS can also be used for immigration purposes for people who wish to work or study in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

What types of IELTS can I choose from?

Academic: if you intend to study at undergraduate or postgraduate degree level
General Training: if you plan to go to English speaking countries to complete your secondary education, to undertake work experience or training programme, or for immigration purposes
