IELTS FOR IMMIGRATION AND NON-ACADEMIC TRAINING

General Training Reading and Writing Modules

If you are planning to undertake non-academic training or apply for immigration to Australia, Canada or New Zealand, we recommend you take the General Training Reading and Writing modules.

However, you should check with the receiving organisation (for example, the company you are applying to work for) about their IELTS requirements, before deciding which module you need to take. It is possible that the receiving organisation require you to take the Academic Reading and Writing Modules instead of the General Training Reading and Writing Modules.

In the General Training Reading and Writing Modules, you are tested in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The total test time is two hours and 45 minutes.

Download or read through a copy of the IELTS handbook for more detailed information.
