WHY STUDY INTERNATIONAL NURSING AT ANGLIA RUSKIN UNIVERSITY?

Anglia Ruskin University offers its students the chance to study in state-of-the-art clinical skills facilities that have built in collaboration with the NHS. These labs have been built to specifically mirror the working environment in UK hospitals.

As a student you will have the opportunity to visit centres of excellence within the health and social care arena, such as a Cardiac Care unit, a Burns unit and Palliative Care. You will be taught by nurses and health professionals currently practicing in the local health care services.

All our academic nursing staff have up to date practice and knowledge within their fields of expertise. Successful completion of this course will enhance your international employability.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK recognises our teaching staff as committed, enthusiastic and very professional.

“With over 10 years experience in Community Nursing throughout the UK, my interests include wound care, palliative care and health promotion, which are core subjects within the International Nursing Studies course.

I joined Anglia Ruskin University in 2004 and have taught on a number of courses such as pre-registration nursing, wound care and community nursing. I am currently undertaking a PhD in the beneficial effects of a professional therapeutic relationship with client and practitioner. My research includes: the management of wounds and long term conditions. I am passionate about experiencing different cultures and travel, and therefore look forward to meeting nurses on this course from a variety of international backgrounds.” –

Lecturer, International Nursing Studies

Employability

The Faculty boasts an enviable 98% graduate employment rate. We can help you find part-time work during your study and our careers advisers can help you find work for up to two years following graduation.

International student focus

The teaching is geared to provide support to the diverse needs of international students using a bespoke induction programme, online learning resources and personal tutorials. The course provides an opportunity to meet and work with fellow students from a range of diverse backgrounds. Our current students come from continental Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian sub-continent and the Far East, as well as the South-East of England.

Exceptional location

Anglia Ruskin University is situated close to London, which is accessible via excellent transport links from our Cambridge and Chelmsford campuses (the journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes by train). Students benefit financially because we are located on the outskirts of London; our accommodation and the cost of living is significantly less than for those students living in London. This gives our students the benefit of both worlds: the tradition and history of Cambridge and Chelmsford within easy reach of London.
