How to apply

All applications for undergraduate degrees and Higher National Diploma (HND) courses are handled by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

Applications must be submitted almost a year in advance. Please note the following deadlines for courses starting in autumn 2008:

General applications 1 September 2007 - 15 January 2008
Some courses in Art & Design 1 January 2008 - 24 March 2008
Oxford/Cambridge, Dentistry,
Medicine, Vetinary Medicine
1 September 2007 - 15 October 2007

You may apply to a maximum of five different courses. However, for courses in Dentistry, Medicine or Vetinary Medicine, you may choose a maximum of four courses and up to three for certain Art and Design courses.

Please note that during any one application period :

You should not apply more than once to UCAS
Applicants to Oxbridge Universities should either apply to Oxford OR Cambridge

Entry requirements

In general, the minimum requirement for entry to an undergraduate degree courses is the GCE A-Level (General Certificate of Education Advanced level), which is the equivalent of the Macedonian secondary school diploma and a test of English language proficiency - preferably the IELTS test.

The grades needed will depend on the subject and institution you have chosen. You should get details of the course requirements from the institution’s current prospectus or direct from the faculty or the UCAS website.

If your qualifications do not match the entry requirements to enter UK Higher Education, you can take a foundation or access course. Refer to the Education UK website.
