MultiTalks - Mobile Identities

MultiTalks – Mobile Identities will take place at the British Council on January 31, 2012, at 6:00 P.M. The program of the event includes meeting with the head of International Organization of Migration Riga office, Dr. Ilmārs Mežs, watching a British documentary Moving to Mars and a discussion after the film. The program will be enriched with comments from a British expert in diversity issues Mr. Tristan Ace about the topicality of this film and the situation of Burmese refugees in Great Britain. BETT Show 2012
The BETT show is the most comprehensive and prestigious event in the UK’s educational calendar, attracting more than 600 educational suppliers and around 30,000 visitors. It brings together the global teaching and learning community for four days of innovations, seminars and international networking. It attracts around 5000 international visitors each year, because of the UK’s continuing lead in the creative application of ICT in Education. SUSTAINABLE OPPORTUNITIES WORKSHOP 2011

Young Creative Entrepreneur Club (YCE Club) networking event #6 “SUSTAINABLE OPPORTUNITIES WORKSHOP 2011”. The workshop will take place over two days – 29&30th November, 2011, at Birojnīca, and will feature three British experts – Guy Robinson, Dr Jonathan Chapman and Simon O’Rafferty who will share their experience and expertise on such areas as sustainable design and the newest tendencies in the UK, de-materialisation, the ethics of design in the age of over-consumption, strategies and principles of sustainable design, etc. In addition to the presentations, the participants will be able gather insight into types, principles and aims of sustainable design, develop their networking skills, knowledge and professional skills.
