New initiative “Intercultural Embassy invites…”
In September 2009 British Council Latvia launched a new initiative “Intercultural Embassy invites…” which is a follow-up activity of the British Council’s project „Intercultural Navigators”. For 4 months British Council Latvia office in Blaumana Street 5a-2 will become an Intercultural Embassy. Within this activity project participants will become Intercultural Ambassadors. They will invite once every 2 weeks to the evening talks different guest speakers who are “thought masters” in various topical issues on intercultural dialogue and diversity as well as people who have significant experience of different cultures or subcultures. Information presented through their personal experience will be the platform of understanding and learning thus leaving aside academic text books. “Intercultural Embassy invites…” evenings  are aimed at project “Intercultural Navigators” participants and others who are interested in interculturality questions.
