The British Council Library Collection is available at the Library of Foreign Languages at the Riga Congress Hall, Kr. Valdemāra 5
There are about 6’400 text resources in our collection. They cover such areas as fiction, general reference, examinations, education, English language teaching, English for special purposes etc.
We have subscribed to more than 35 titles of magazines from the UK. Some of most popular titles are Blueprint, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Wallpaper and others.
There are more than 200 CDs, 300 DVDs and 400 videocassettes in our collection. They feature latest music and films from the UK as well as resources for learning English and general information about the UK. The film collection contains a number of the best 100 British Films of the twentieth century selected by the British Film Institute.
