PRESENTATION

Abstract

Planets and moons throughout the Solar System are covered with craters caused by the violent impact of comets and asteroids. But can such objects ever strike the Earth, and what happens when they do? This talk summarizes the evidence for past impacts on Earth and looks at how we might try to prevent them in the future.
