TEACHER TRAINING WORKSHOPS
‘How to prepare for IELTS’

The British Council invites teachers who are either interested in or already preparing students for IELTS to teacher training workshops to be held in Vilnius on 1, 2 March 2012 covering the 4 IELTS papers: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

The focus of the workshops will be on:

  • Analysing main features of each paper, usually those that students find difficult;
  • Providing the teachers with (by actively involving them in) practical classroom activities to improve their students’ skills, strategies and performance in relation to those features.

Participants will receive:

  • Seminar handouts
  • British Council’s Certificate of attendance

Dates:

  • Workshop on Writing 1 March 2012, Thursday, 09:30 – 13:00
  • Workshop on Listening 1 March 2012, Thursday, 14:00 – 17:00
  • Workshop on Reading 2 March 2012, Friday, 09:30 – 12:30
  • Workshop on Speaking 2 March 2012, Friday 13:30 – 16:30

Fees:

If you register for one workshop – 100 Lt
If you register for two workshops – 180 Lt
If you register for three workshops – 210 Lt
If you register for four workshops – 240 Lt

Registration:

To register for a workshop, please fill in the application form and e-mail it to the British Council at exams@britishcouncil.lt by  20 February 2012.

Successful applicants will be asked to pay workshop(s) fee(s) by Wednesday, 22 February 2012.

Please contact the British Council if you require an invoice in order to process the payment.

We reserve the right to cancel the workshop before the specified date if demand is insufficient. In this case, applicants will receive a full refund.
