What is a Chevening Scholarship?
The Chevening is a prestigious award scheme for postgraduate students who would like to study in the UK. This is an annual programme funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and administered by the British Council. This highly-competitive scheme offers full-time postgraduate scholarships of varying length to Libyan women and men who will play a key role in promoting Libya's political, economic and social development.
Chevening Scholarships are fully-funded, covering course fees of up to £12,000, a monthly stipend, arrival and departure allowances and return airfare, We also offer joint-funded scholarships, offering private and public sector organizations the opportunity to co-fund one of these prestigious scholarships.
Can I Apply?
Applications are invited for postgraduate (Master degree level) study in all areas. However we particulary encourage applications in a number of areas including economics, finance, banking,law,public adminstration, management,international relations, security studies, media, politics and human rights.
You'll be expected to show at least two years' work experience, with an excellent track record illustrating your achievements, and evidence that you will become a leader in your chosen field. You will also need an upper second class degree or higher.
You must have good English language skills (most UK Higher Education institutions require a minimum IELTS of 6.5 for admission to postgraduate courses).

If selected for an interview you will then need to provide the following documents prior the interview date;
•Supporting letters from two referees
•Photocopies of academic certificates
•Transcripts/records of exams that you have passed
