WHAT WE DO IN LIBYA
We support Libya’s social, economic, cultural and education development, providing a range of services and activities in Libya in the Arts, Society, Science, Education support and information and English language teaching and qualifications. We have British Council teachers located in 9 universities around Libya delivering English language classes and teacher development through a partnership with the General People’s Committee for Higher Education. We work with other local and international partners to deliver our programmes in education promotion, arts and English, and we work with local schools, women’s groups, business groups and youth groups to deliver activities in science and society. Every year, The British Council in collaboration with the British Embassy, offer a number of prestigious Chevening scholarships for postgraduate studies in the UK.
