The Weidenfeld Scholarships and Leadership Programme at Oxford University
The BLA/ ABCCF Scholarship Fund

We administer this scholarship scheme on behalf of the British Lebanese Association and the Arab-British Chamber Charitable Foundation. The BLA/ ABCCF are partial scholarships, granting 13,500 pounds for 12 months postgraduate programmes only. The scheme currently supports two partial scholarships a year for postgraduate study in the UK. Application is open for all fields, with preference to Civil Society, Human Rights, Economics, Health, Education and Environment. The deadline for submitting your application is between 14 and 28 February at our Knowledge and Learning Centre.

To apply, you shoud

be of Lebanese nationality
be under 40 years old
hold a B.A/ B.Sc. degree or equivalent
have a minimum of two years working experience
have already applied to at least one educational institution or are in the process of applying. If not, please visit our information centre to begin your search
demonstrate that your chosen course of study will be of use to the development of the Middle East
prove that you can secure the remaining cost of your studies, bank statement or other sources of funding, in the event you are shortlisted for the scholarship
be prepared to come back to Lebanon immediately after completion of your studies

Download your application form and submit it with

a letter of acceptance
an English proficiency exam or IELTS score. We are an accredited centre for IELTS testing. Please contact our exams services section for enquiries on how to register for an IELTS
a sealed university transcript of record
2 sealed letters of reference
all documents must be in English. French is accepted for grades only

Kindly refrain from enclosing additional documentation such as Curriculum Vitae and the like. All information should be included in the application provided.  Please present your application in a transparent plastic folder.
