HSBC/British Education Trust in Lebanon

For academic year 2007-2008, HSBC and British Educational Trust in Lebanon will grant one scholarship to study in the UK.

You can apply if you

  • Hold the Lebanese nationality
  • Are between 23 and 30 years old
  • Are a graduate with first-rate academic skills- Top 10% in Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting and Human Resources from an accredited university either in Lebanon or Overseas.
  • Are at an early stage of your career with at least two years of work experience.
  • Are committed to return to Lebanon and contribute to its socio-economic development through implementing the new skills and knowledge you have acquired in the UK.
  • Are able to show at the interview that you possess the personal qualities to benefit from such a scholarship and use it to succeed in your chosen career
  • Have very good English language skills- Most UK Higher Education Institutions require a minimum IELTS of 6.5 for admission onto Postgraduate courses.

Download your application form and submit it with

  • A sealed university transcript of record - Translation if relevant
  • Photocopies of academic certificates - Translation if relevant
  • Two sealed letters of references
  • Two passport size photographs
  • An English proficiency exam or IELTS score. We are an accredited centre for IELTS testing. Please contact our exams services for enquiries on how to register for an IELTS test
  • A letter of acceptance. Usually, universities do not send their unconditional offer before January 31 and sometimes later. Should a conditional or unconditional offer be available to you prior to submission dates, please include this in your application. Otherwise a letter acknowledging receipt of your application will do.

Kindly refrain from enclosing additional documentation such as Curriculum Vitae and the like. All information should be included in the application provided. Please present your application in a transparent plastic folder.
