WIN GREAT PRIZES as you learn English with Al Balad newspaper

The British Council in partnership with Al Balad newspaper launches an exciting competition for its Learn English articles initiative which is published every 2 weeks in Al Balad’s paper starting on Saturday 10 November.

The competition is as simple as answering a question about the published article and a draw of the correct answers will grant 2 winners a 44 hour English language course at the British Council and a smartphone.

The British Council will be giving away 12 English courses and smartphones between November and April.

Also, by 1 May 2013, participants who have submitted at least 7 correct answers throughout that period will enter a final draw for the grand prizes: an iPhone 5, a laptop, and a digital camera.

The Learn English Articles are educational, fun, and intriguing with interesting vocabulary, comprehension, and learning games, puzzles and contests offering a window to the world and the UK.

Claire Ross, English Project Manager British Council, says: “We are very happy to have had the opportunity to publish regular English language learning articles for Al Balad readers for the past year.  We hope the new competition attracts even more readers to Al Balad and the English language.”

The British Council offers a variety of other fun ways to help you improve your English.  We run regular courses at our Teaching Centre in Beirut, and you can also visit www.britishcouncil.org/learnenglish our free website for English language learners, like our British Council Lebanon Facebook page, and download the available apps for mobile phones.
